Finding the right AWD vehicle...

Here at All Wheel Drive Report, I focus exclusively on cars and crossovers with all wheel drive options, leaving the full sized body-on-frame SUV's and trucks for others. If you're in the market for a new all wheel drive vehicle, I can help you sort out your options.

All the prices I show on this site are for vehicles equipped with AWD. Where AWD is optional, I simply selected that option and no others. This means that you can be sure that when you are comparing prices, you aren't looking at a low ball, 2 wheel drive baseline vehicle MSRP and comparing it to say a Subaru, who only offers AWD.

Introduction:     AWD Report is set up for the consumer who is unsure about his next vehicle purchase, outside of the fact that it should be equipped with All Wheel Drive. For that reason, I have overlapped the price point categories, so that vehicles at the extreme range of 1 category may be compared with vehicles in the next higher or lower price range as well. This will give you a truer representation of each vehicle's competition, and provide the widest range of possibilities. Maybe you thought only a crossover was available, but the price range pages may show you a sharp station wagon that would be just the ticket.
So feel free to nose around the site. I suggest starting off by looking at the price range pages. That will get you "in the ballpark". You may find a vehicle you never knew had an AWD option.

UPDATE:   RECALL RECALL RECALL....

The worm has turned for Toyota. After an admittedly great run of building and selling good cars, they have tripped. Now, I'm not the biggest Toyota fan in the world. In fact, I pretty much hate the way the company acts. But it's THEIR COMPANY, and they are free to manage it any way they want. I have sniped at them for years for doing what I thought was stupid marketing and poor web work. (But they make billions, and I run a web site...) And now they've got a huge recall mess on their hands.

And you know what? They'll FIX IT. It may take a while, but everyone whose car was recalled will probably go away happy that they bought a Toyota. The only way that happens is when the consumer gets treated like he matters. And Toyota has done that over the years. I suppose they could fail this time, but I don't think it likely. So, if you bought a Toyota and are worried about the recalls, relax. If the car still fits the reasons you bought it in the first place, you'll be fine. That's not to say you don't also call the service manager at your local dealership and politely, but firmly, find out when exactly are they going to fix YOUR car. But, its up to YOU to determine if the car isn't safe to drive until then. I'm not letting YOU off that hook.

General Automotive Business News

Stimulating Driving...    Well, we're into the new year... Not as robustly as we had hoped, but not facing armageddon either. Conditions are a bit quirky, as a result of the political instability. No one is quite sure what is going to transpire in the next 10 to 16 months, but we are getting some disquieting signals from Greece and the European Union.

I don't sell cars. I sell information. I try to add a bit of hard knocks wisdom. Yep, you're right, here it comes; another soap box pleading!

Do you REALLY need a new car right now? Think about that. Times are far from normal or certain. What would happen if you blew $30,000 on a new car and lost your job? If you'd have to sell that car to keep your home, I suggest you wait another year. It won't kill you. And see how good you are by putting away an extra $450 per month for that year as if you HAD bought the car. You'll be building an emergency cushion for your family, and if it all works out, a larger down payment on that 2011 model.

  THANKS!
You'll never know that you made a difference, but trust me, I appreciate you! I don't know who you are, but I know you are using CarsDirect and Google to research and purchase your AWD vehicles. I can't thank you enough for showing your support of the site through your use of my CarsDirect and Google links.

Coming around...    So are you tired of shovelling all the snow yet? And the old sedan just ain't handling it well? We have your anser! If you're lucky enough to be among those who can afford it, this would be a wonderful time for an AWD sedan, wouldn't it?
Just think... you wouldn't have to leave work early.... You wouldn't have to stay home because the roads were bad... Hmmm, maybe we need to rethink this...

And I just can't help myself... It seems not only are higher temperatures evidence of global warming, now colder temperatures and record snowfall are also evidence of how warm its getting? I feel like the Aflac duck after listening to Yogi Berra....

All the opinions you see here are just that; my opinion. Others will have equally valid opinions. But, as someone who has spent the better part of the last 30 years around the auto aftermarket, I hope you find my opinions valuable. Let me know what you think, and how I can improve the site for your use. After all, this site is about what YOU need; not what I want.

Thanks for visiting!
