The 2010 Subaru Tribeca; Subaru's largest vehicle, loses its 5 passenger configuration. Tribeca is available in Premium, Limited and Touring trim lines. All the Tribecas use the 256hp flat 6 engine with a 5 speed automatic. received the highest rating (5-stars) in all of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) crash tests. These results are in addition to the 4-star rating in the NHTSA tests for rollover resistance. (No SUV to date has earned 5-stars in the rollover test.). Tribeca prices start at $30,495

The entry level Audi is the A3. You no longer have to upgrade the base model to what's called the A3 3.2 S Line in order to get the Quattro AWD. The Audi A3 2.0T is powered by a 200hp 2.0 liter turbocharged Inline 4 engine. It comes with a 6-speed transmission and quattro® permanent all-wheel drive. Nicely trimmed of much of the gadgetry, the 2009 A3 with Quattro AWD can now be had for a much lower $30,500

The Volvo V50 T5 AWD sports wagon model has the 218hp 5cyl turbo motor mated to a 6 speed manual transmission, and sits on the same 104 inch wheelbase as the S40.With the seats folded down, the load compartment floor is entirely flat. This and the S40 have a bizarre dash panel that drops from the dash to the console, but has no sides... V50 T5 AWD prices start at $31,565

Traverse is offered in LS, LT and LTZ models, in both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations. Last year's Lambda's were succesful enough to prompt GM to bring out a Chevrolet badged version, as if the Enclave, Acadia and Outlook were not enough. In fairness, Ford has milked the Mazda 6 platform like nobody's business, but they did so by creating different vehicles using a shared starting point. The 2010 Ford Edge soldiers on virtually unchanged from last year's SE, SEL , Limited and Sport versions. (Download Specs Here). All are still powered by the same 265hp aluminum 3.5 Liter V6 engine and 6 speed automatic transmission. You still can't get AWD on the SE. They make you upgrade to SEL. I haven't seen any performance comparisons between the 09 and 2010 versions, but Ford was able to increase fuel economy on this vehicle by 2mpg city. Usually that comes from a gearing change, so I would expect this year's car to be a bit slower. Prices for the AWD Edge SEL jump again to $31,770

The new 2009 A4 sits on the same platform as Audi's -5 series of vehicles, but does so as a 4 door sedan. Larger and roomier than the 2008 A4, this one is also available with the 2 liter turbo motor as the A4 2.0 TFSI Premium. That's a mouthful for what I would call the base AWD A4 sedan. In this car, the engine is set up to make 211hp; a 5% increase over the A3 level. The A4 is also avalable in wagon (Avant), convertible (Cabrio) and sport (S) trim levels, with varying powertrains, including a manual 6 speed option. The AWD A4 sedan starts off at $32,700.

The Audi A4 Avant with Quattro AWD is available in either a 200hp intercooled turbo 2 liter or the 250hp 3.2 liter V6. These versions are called the A4 2.0T Avant and the A4 3.2 Avant respectively. A4 2.0T Avant wagon prices start at $32.000
