2010 Suzuki Kizashi

Suzuki

For 2010, Suzuki has a brand new mid-sized AWD offering. Its called Kizashi, and its pretty cool looking. But, for some odd reason, Suzuki charges extra for paint that ain't white. So, make sure you pick a white one off the lot, or you'll pay for it. UNLESS you want a GTS version, then RED is the color to pick, since there are no white ones. Red is $130.00 LESS than any other color in the GTS. And in the top of the line SLS, either red or white is available free of additional charges.

The AWD option on the "build-it" pages indicates that the six speed manual transmission is available, but I have confirmed that only the CVT will be mated to the AWD Kizashi. Too bad; it would have made a strong combo. Only the SX4 Crossover will have a manual AWD option.
The XL7 has been ditched in favor of a Nissan produced pickup truck; the Equator. But since its a full size truck, with a full frame and not a crossover, I won't be covering it here.
Suzuki is also adding $750 to a lot of their pricing for destination charges. Remember, I always strip those fees off the prices that I report, so that the price I show can be more fairly compared to other manufacturer's products. Kudo to Suzuki for not hiding it.

And by the way, FLASH STINKS for websites!

Suzuki AWD Choices

2010 SX4 Crossover The Suzuki SX4 Crossover is powered by a 143 hp, 2.0-liter, L4, 16-valve, DOHC engine. It comes standard with the 3-mode intelligent All-Wheel-Drive (i-AWD), allowing the driver to choose between 2WD, 4WD Lock (which locks the wheels together for slow going in mud, sand, ice or snow), and versatile 4WD Auto, which automatically apportions power to the rear wheels when needed for additional safety and performance. It's light weight of only 2855 lbs allows its small 2.0 liter engine to provide adequate power, but not much in the way of reserves. And don't call it a hatchback; its a small 5 door CUV. Hey, that's ok with me. Anything this inexpensive and still so well equipped can be called anything they want. So if you can fit in it, there's no excuse for not having something with AWD. Prices for the 2010 AWD SX4 Crossover with a 6 speed manual transmission start at just $ 16,849
2009 Grand Vitara

The 5 passenger Suzuki Grand Vitara 5 door SUV is in the 3rd year of its second generation design. This is a REAL crossover because it has elements of BOTH a unibody AND a full frame chassis. That design allows the vehicle to tolerate more off road abuse than most of its pure unibody competition. 4wd versions are available in Premium, X Sport and Luxury trim levels. The least expensive AWD Grand Vitara is the Premium version, and it mates a manual transmission with a 166hp, 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine. This combination gets the "single mode" 4wd system, while V6 versions get the more sophisticated Full Time 4 mode system. The base (Premium) Grand Vitara with the 4wd option and manual gearbox starts at $20,349.

2010 Suzuki Kizashi

The Suzuki Kizashi mid-sized sport sedan is available in 4 trim levels; S, SE, GTS and SLS. All AWD Kizashi's will be equipped with CVT (Constantly Variable Transmission). Suzuki's i-AWD System allows the driver to select how power is delivered to all four wheels depending on road conditions-- from 2-wheel-drive for maximum fuel efficiency, to all-wheel-drive for rainy days, to 4-wheel-drive for maximum traction on ice and snow. For now, the engine will be the 2.4 Liter DOHC 4 cylinder, putting out 185 hp. Look for a hybrid version in the coming months. The list price of an AWD optioned Kizashi S is $21,750.
